EDUCATION

Southeast Missouri State University

I earned a Mass Communications: Advertising major with minors in Graphic Communications and Sociology. As I took my advertising courses, I fell in love with the good that industry can do despite the stereotypical "selling your soul to capitalism" idea. I had the privilege of helping small businesses and individuals brand themselves and find success through the student-run ad agency, SE Creative.

EXPERIENCE

Graphic Design, Web Design, and Management

​The skills I gained from managing at Domino's for 6 years translated well when I worked for The Arrow as part of the promotion team. In my management position, I was the person who made sure things got done. I took on graphics work when others would not, organized my teams, and took initiative. ​

​

For my capstone project, I was assigned to a team of four. We took on SEMO University Marketing as a client. I was the Creative Director but also noticed myself taking on a project management role as well.​

 

My favorite thing I was involved in during college was SE Creative. At the Rust Center for Media in downtown Cape, they service clients around the area who need help with advertising, branding, organizing events, graphic design, etc. I was an award-winning member and/or account executive in this organization for two years.

​

All of this prepared me for my first post-college role at BigPxl in Springfield, MO. As UI/UX Designer I have grown my skills there exponentially. The things I get complimented most on in this position are that I:

  • Am a fast learner and am always looking for ways to improve
